Gradebook Information
Q Gradebook
Click on the link at the bottom of this page to view the gradebook. You must have a user name and password. Passwords are available through the Sequoia Counseling Office (498-8152).
Q Guidelines
I keep grades on Q in order to allow you full access to view your child’s progress. With programs such as these, the days of waiting until a report card comes home are over. A user name and password should be sent to your home from the Sequoia Counseling Office by the end of September. It is recommended that you check your child’s grades regularly, but I encourage you to avoid obsessing over them. I also encourage the students to view their grades, so please give the user name and password to your child and check grades together.

Q Guidelines
- Grades in my gradebook are on a points-based system. Items worth more points will have a greater impact upon the overall grade.
- Assignment scores are left blank until I have completed grading for all submitted work.
- A score of 0 means the assignment is missing or that the test has not yet been taken.

When viewing the gradebook, please keep the following frequently asked questions in mind:
- What should I do if I have a question about an assignment/assessment? Ask your child before you ask the teacher.
- What should I do if I have asked my child and I still have a question about an assignment/assessment? Have your child bring in the assignment/assessment and ask me him/herself.
- What if I still have questions regarding the assignment/assessment? Send an email to me and I will gladly review the issue with you.
- You have asked your child for a graded assignment/assessment, but he or she does not yet have it. Please wait patiently for papers to be returned. You may see an assignment/assessment grade on Q an hour after they take a quiz, but it may not be returned for a few days if absent students still need to make it up.
- You would like to go over an assignment/assessment with your child, but she only has the answer sheet. Please ask your child to get a copy of the test to bring home. To limit paper consumption, I often reuse test documents but will gladly let a student take the test home for the night if you feel he or she needs to review.
